Oliver Moore (b. 2001) is currently a postgraduate student studying under the tutelage of pianist Garrick Ohlsson at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as a recipient of the B. Gardner Wilcox Piano Scholarship. He has been featured as soloist with orchestras including the Bear Valley Festival Orchestra, North State Symphony, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, and will perform the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 in 2025 with the SFCM Orchestra as winner of the SFCM Piano Concerto Competition. Oliver previously completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at SFCM under Garrick Ohlsson. 


In July 2023, Oliver presented a recital of works and transcriptions by Liszt, Busoni, Saint-Saëns, and Brahms inspired by composers Bach and Handel for the American Bach Soloists’ San Francisco Bach Festival and was nominated for Favorite New Discovery by the San Francisco Classical Voice Audience Choice Awards. He has performed at venues such as the U.S.-Polish Embassy in Washington D.C., the Lied Center of Kansas, the San Francisco War Memorial Performing Arts Center, 405 Shrader Concert Series, and the Redlands Bowl where he was winner of the Redlands Bowl Concerto Competition.


Oliver has played in master classes for musicians including Jonathan Biss, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Arie Vardi, and Shai Wosner, previously studied with John McCarthy, and has participated in an orchestral reading with conductor Michael Tilson Thomas. Oliver is principal keyboardist of the Monterey Symphony. 


Oliver’s repertoire spans from Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, and Beethoven to the Romantic repertoire. He was a semifinalist in the U.S. National and Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competitions. Also passionate about new music, Oliver has performed works by composers such as Thomas Adès, Meredith Monk, and Morton Feldman.
